The Way to Success
There is no consensus of opinions among people as to the view of the way to success. Is it just a matter of sitting back and waiting for success to come knocking on your door or do you have to do something more to invite it in？ Personally， I side with the latter idea. Abraham Lincoln， the famous U.S. President， once remarked， "Give me six hours to chop down a tree， and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." suggesting that adequate preparation is of vital importance to one's success. However， with respect to the factors of success， what Lincoln failed to mention were self-confidence and strong willpower. In the first instance， self-trust is the first key to success. He who does not believe in himself has already lost in that he will definitely bow to troubles he is confronted with. In addition， persistence is the ultimate key to success. Those who fail to attain their goals tend to leave their work half done once they encounter any difficulty. There are no secrets to success. It is the result of self-confidence， solid preparation and iron will.
